Environmental Temperatures May Hurt Your Candle
Environmental Temperatures:
Do not store candles in cold spaces, or places. It is a bad idea to use the windowsill to store your idea candle between uses, especially during the wintertime.
When candle wax is to cold and it is lit, it takes longer to melt than wax that is at melting at room temperature. (Room temperature 65-75 degrees F.) What causes the problem when this situation occurs, is a small flame results, this results in a smaller melt pool, and wax that remains on the sides of your soy wax candle container.
The sunlight will also affect the quality of your candle dyes causing them to fade unless UV ray inhibitors are used. This defeats the naturalness of making candles from 100 % natural soy candle wax. So avoid those window sills, and enjoy your homemade soy candles at their very best!
